Kindergarten

Lombardy kindergarten is founded on hands-on, developmental learning.  The education of the whole child is central to everything we do.  This means that we emphasize academic, social, and physical development.  We offer a variety of activities to kindergarten students to appeal to the different learning strengths of everyone.  The kindergarten teachers work closely with children, providing activities to enrich each student at their level of learning.  We celebrate and nurture each student and provide a warm, caring atmosphere where children can feel safe to take chances and try new things.  In addition to a strong language arts and math program, we explore science, social studies, writing, technology, STEM, art and music.  Our classrooms function as a family and we have a daily morning meeting to help students bond, promote social development and teamwork.  Most of all, we believe that learning should be fun and we work to help our students become life-long learners.
